Our Story
We met on Hinge in November 2025, and his first message had almost nothing to do with the photo he was replying to. He told her he was visiting from the future, where we had been happily married for twenty years, and had come back in time to settle a small disagreement about where our first date had been.
So, naturally, we had to go on one to find out. We ended up playing mini golf. He won the game, but by the last hole, it felt like we had both won something much bigger.
That winter was a slow, sweet unfolding, one date after another. We lived an hour apart, but he never let the distance decide anything. Through snowstorms and bitterly cold nights, he kept showing up at her door, again and again, just for a few more hours together. There was no single grand moment. It was the quiet, steady way he kept choosing her, and the way she kept choosing him back, that made us certain.
We made it official in January, and in August, we promised each other forever.
She always thought “when you know, you know” was simply something people said when a feeling was too big to explain. Then it happened to us, and now we understand. Some things you don’t figure out. You simply know.
